Providence vs. Texas A&M: Over 138
Providence is on an emotional heat wave, jolted by their passionate, pants-ripping coach Ed Cooley. I don’t expect the offense to cool down anytime soon. Led by Senior forward Rodney Bullock, the Friars are averaging 74 point per game. Texas A&M has won 3 of their last 4, averaging 75 points per game, and look to continue their high-scoring style of play in the tournament. Defense doesn’t seem to be something either team is that great at. I’m taking the over here.
Georgia State vs. Cincinnati: Over 130
To be honest, I just saw a low over with two high scoring teams like Cincinnati and feel it’s a no brainer. Feel free to fade me here, but I’ve got a feeling.
Butler vs. Arkansas: Butler -1.5
Upset alert. Although I am not sure how much of an upset it is considering everyone and their mother have the bulldogs taking the dub on Friday. Arkansas isn’t the best team in the SEC by any means and Butler has a lot to prove. The bulldogs always seem to show up in March. One hesitation is that Butler will be without their live mascot (credit: Pardon My Take) for the game, so morale may be low. Then again, they could use it as motivation.
Bucknell vs. Michigan State: Bucknell +14.5
Michigan State is in quite a few people’s final four, and will undoubtedly win this game. However, it won’t be easy. With one team favored by double digits, the underdog feels disrespected and the favorite usually starts out lackadaisical. Look for Bucknell to come out strong and keep it close until the end. I see it going similar to the Gonzaga game today.
UMBC vs. Virginia: Under 121
It’s Virginia against a mid-major. Enough said. They hold UMBC to under 50 points and once it gets out of hand, Tony Bennett will rest his starters. Willing to bet my left testicle on this one.
