New York Post: “The Jets acquired the No. 3 pick in this year’s draft from the Colts, positioning themselves to get one of the top quarterbacks in the draft. The Jets sent their first-round pick (No. 6 overall) along with their two second-round picks this year (37th, 49th overall) and their second-round pick in 2019.”
J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets. Wow. The Jets actually making some moves to acquire talent. Then again they wouldn’t have had to make this deal if they didn’t fuck up tanking, like only the jets can. As a Patriots fan this shit makes me laugh. While a franchise QB is priceless, the jets will find a way to pooch this. Either they go with a wild pick like Baker Mayfield, the next coming of Johnny Football, which will sell season tickets and shoot jersey sales up, or they take a QB like Josh Allen, start him too early, and screw up his development. This is stereotypical jets. The Pats just lost half of their team to free agency and will still easily beat the jets this year no matter who they take with the 3rd pick. Fireman Ed may disown the team forever (again) after this one.
On the Colts side of things, what a win. You don’t need a QB, or so we think. Back up to 6, get a quality O-lineman like Notre Dame Guard Quenton Nelson, and stock up on 2nd rounders. With a talent-heavy draft class. This puts Indy in the perfect place to turn the tides (assuming Luck is healthy) after a disastrous 2017-2018 season.
